White Rabbit's Color Book ~ Alan Baker (1997, The McGraw-Hill Companies)

White Rabbit's Colour Book (Little Rabbit Books)
Not the same cover as my book but this was a
much clearer pictures. (*Spelling of color)
Summary: The book is about a white adventurous rabbit that jumps in and out of primary colored paint. As the rabbit jumps into multiple paint buckets, she finds that certain combinations make different colors. In the end, the rabbit finds the color that is perfect for her.

My Review: I like this book because it introduces the primary and secondary colors to young readers. It also have very simple pictures which makes it easier to focus on the colors and the words.

About the Author: Baker is an author of a series of books about a little rabbit which was very successful. He has written and illustrated over 40 children's books and illustrated even more books for other authors. He was also the illustrator of The Odessy and The Story of King Author. He has individual pieces of artwork that he has a collection of.

Genre: Fiction
Theme/ Skill: Color and color identification and mixing colors
Age Level: 0-6

Pre-Reading Activity: I would ask the children to name their favorite color and give a new reason why. Ask students what they predict will happen to the white rabbit and write down their responses.

Post-Reading Activity: We would check their predictions. Then we would make a color wheel using construction paper and cutouts of any object their prefer.
